Tevir Group have submitted plans for the first phase of restoration of the Castle Mona, Douglas....
Managing Director of Tevir Group, Ciaran Doherty, has spoken of his delight at the progress on construction of the facilities for Hospice Isle of Man’s ‘Enhancing the Healing Environment project’, which recently benefited from a further £1million pound donation from Tevir Group.
Ciaran was commenting after his recent visit to the site alongside Finance Director, Steven Malone. They were given a guided tour of the works by Hospice Isle of Man Chief Executive, Anne Mills and were accompanied by Hospice Governor, Alex Thomson, and representatives from the building contractors.
Ciaran Doherty, Managing Director, said:
‘Hospice Isle of Man and all the contractors have done a fantastic job on progressing the project to date, particularly given the difficult circumstances around the COVID-19 pandemic which halted work for two months earlier in the year. I am delighted with what has been achieved so far.
‘We have been involved with Hospice since 2016. Since then we have provided funding totalling £2.5million to support Hospice Isle of Man’s capital projects programme.
‘The ‘Enhancing the Healing Environment’ project will provide a wide range of enhanced benefits for patients and their families for many years to come and will also complement the fantastic quality of care provided by the staff at Hospice.
‘Tevir Group is committed to providing both economic and social good for the Island and we recognise Hospice Isle of Man’s vital role in supporting our community. We therefore understand how important it is for patients undergoing end of life care and their families to experience the very best in comfort and care within a sensitive environment.’
The works commenced in June 2019 and the first phase of the new facilities will be operational once specialist equipment has been installed later in the summer.
